In the church service this morning, I saw what happens when two distinct people become One in worship to God. There was a man and a woman two pews in front of me. I believe the couple is married.
I could tell that the man was more reserved and stiff. The woman knew how to groove with the music. She had rhythm and was not shy at releasing her emotions to God through worship. I watched how the man helped keep the woman grounded and supported. And the woman helped the man discover freedom to explore new directions in worship.
They worshipped some separately. But when they embraced each other side by side. They started swaying to the music. Then as the woman pumped her legs and started to get more animated. The man started to do the same thing. It was neat to see the energy flow from one person to the other. They raised their hands and sang. They worked together as a team to sharpen each other...even in worship.
Normally, I don't ever focus on the people around me when I worship God through music. But this time, I believe that God wanted to show me something. God wanted me to see that two is stronger than one. And even stronger than that is when two become One.
