It Sound Crazy...But - Written: 5/22/2005

The other day I was thinking just how crazy the words of Jesus would sound today if we went around and said them to other people. If I told most people that I am royalty - a son of the living God. Many would think that I am crazy or a religious nut like David Koresh. If I went on to say that one day I would help rule the world with God, they might think that I am on a power trip.

If I went on to describe how God talks to me, eyebrows might raise. If I describe the Bible as a living book, some might ask me to see the pages literally speak with an audible voice. If I talked about all power in heaven and earth being giving to Jesus and He sent out His followers with His power, I can just see the eyes rolling. If I talked about doing greater things than Jesus did, many would ask, "Just who do you think that you are?"

And they probably don't know it, but they asked the key question. Who am I? Those who get this question right have the ability to forever change the world. If a man understands his identity and destiny based on the words of Christ, He has found the key to being like Jesus, partaking of the divine nature. And no matter how crazy the words of Jesus may sound, He said that He is the truth.

The hardest part is believing these words ourselves. Once we as Christians are convinced of who we are, it will cause a radical transformation that usually forces others to take notice. They may never come around to agreeing with the truth, but they can't deny being touched by it.
