A Few Things That I Discovered Along the Way - Written: 10/30/2005

Here are some random thoughts from my week:

  • Krispie Kreme doughnuts are really disgusting when they are four days old. Kind of makes you wonder if you should eat them at all.

  • Youth learn more from what you do then what you say.

  • I cannot eat whatever I want to anymore because as I approach 30 my metabolism has slowed down.

  • Never go see a "questionable" movie with young, impressionable minds without having previewed it first.

  • I drink bottled water that I can find at almost any corner convenience store that is much cleaner than what people in Africa walk hours each day to obtain.

  • People like to complain. {That is not a complaint just a statement of fact}

  • Our sin usually doesn't seem as gross and reprehensible to us as what others do.

  • The human mind is capable of justifying and rationalizing almost any type of sin imaginable.

  • Repentance is much more than just being sorry that you were caught. Repentance requires a person to stop doing what was wrong. Repentance is not pouting that you get punished or saying something just to get an authority off your back.

  • Speeding doesn't seem to bother most Christians. But it does me. Why?

  • Sometimes the quietest people possess the most wisdom.

  • Guilt like pain shows us that there is something wrong that needs to be fixed.

  • Play-Doh becomes hard if you take it out of the container and leave it exposed to the air for long periods of time. You can restore softness by adding a few s of water.
