Metal Taste in Your Mouth - Written: 11/23/2005

The other day I was talking with a good friend, Kevin Strait, about the times when we get real angry or worked up about something and adrenaline starts to flow through the body. Adrenaline can be a good thing because it can give us the passion to react in an emergency. It can also be bad for a person's health if maintained over a long period of time. And adrenaline can cause even greater problems if it results in poor decisions.

Adrenaline can easily take over causing a person to lose perspective and overreact. Kevin noticed that adrenaline rushes of this sort left him with a metal taste in his mouth. I have experienced the same thing in my life. There's no great insight here. I just thought it was one of those interesting conversations that you have in the car with a friend.

If adrenaline tastes like metal, what does peace and tranquility taste like?
