Today, Pastor Fred Michaux at my home church, Mechanicsville Christian Center, said, "David cast a stone. He threw what God put in his hand and trusted that it would be enough."
It can be real easy to think that we don't have enough whatever to make a difference. In life, we see giants in the land mocking our courage. It can be hard to image being able to get victory over some major problem or issue. We, the people of God, need the perspective that David had when he faced Goliath. David saw the enemy of God mocking the forces of the Holy One. He saw victory when many others were shaking in their armor. David saw the victory and was consumed by passion for the glory of God.
What does the modern Church need today to start living with this same kind of courage? We need to cast what the Lord gives us and trust in His power to be our salvation. We need to trust that God knows what He is done. We need to trust in His power to be more than enough.
Consider taking a step of courage today. Throw what you have in your hand and see the giants fall in the land.
