Our world is full of signs. From road signs to billboards to marques, people are constantly being bombarded by marketing messages, logos or slogans. Some signs exist to tell you where to go. Others let's you know what is inside a particular building. Some signs give warnings or inform of hazards. Some signs change depending on the circumstance.
All signs are meant to grab your attention and convey a particular message or create a certain connection between you and something else. People wear signs on shirts. Some signs are in big neon colors. Other signs are hoisted very high in the air.
Some signs detract from the message. The signs with corny sayings outside of some churches come to mind. These can give people a wrong impression about Christ even if the words are true.
When you stop to really think about it, our life is a sign to others. If you are a Christian, others will make assumptions about being a follower of Jesus based on how you live and what you say. Jesus calls us to be a bright light in a dark world. We exist to bring glory to God and worship Him with our lives.
Have you ever stopped to think about what kind of message your life sends to others? If your life was a sign what would it say?
