My spiritual mentor, Pastor Don Coleman, said the above words tonight at a small group for teens from my church. He was teaching on the simplicity of living by the Spirit. He said that many people use humanity as a disguise to avoid the spiritual side of life. God is calling us to become people of faith to press beyond what we see.
John 3:4-6 (NIV)
"How can a man be born when he is old?" Nicodemus asked. "Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb to be born!"
Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.
