"For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death." - Romans 8:2
If you let go of a book from three feet in the air, it will always fall to the ground. This happens because of the natural law of gravity. You could try this 100 times and the same result would happen. The law of gravity is considered to be a fact by most people. We don't doubt it at work in the natural world.
Paul wrote about the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus. This law is just as real as the law of gravity. It works every time when applied. But it can be easy to doubt this spiritual law because it is proven in a realm beyond the physical senses. Although we may see its affects in the physical world, the law is a truth because of what happened in the spirits of mankind.
God is calling us to realize that spiritual laws are just as real as the laws of nature. The same God that gave us gravity also gave us the law of the Spirit of life. And this law dictates that those who have God's Spirit and life operating in them are free from the power of sin and death. They are no longer slaves to sin. They will not suffer spiritual death and separation from God.
We all live by laws whether we want to admit it or not. The question is, "Do you live by the law of Spirit of life in Christ Jesus or the law of sin and death." The choice is up to you.
