I love to read the "fortunes" in fortune cookies. These little pieces of paper can be quite comical. They can contain words of wisdom apt for the moment. They can also seem odd and looney. The other day I read a fortune from a cookie that really hit me right where I was. I don't know if it was a message from God or just another random coincidence in life. Regardless, it worked.
Here is what the fortune advised me: "When you have to make a choice and don't make it, that is in itself a choice."
Wow, those words are quite true. I can see myself ordeirng Chinses takeout the next time I have a big decision to consider. I wonder if my favorite Chinese restaurant will give me extra fortune cookies.
